The bra features a countdown clock showing the marriage deadline set by the wearer and when an engagement ring is inserted between the cups, the melody of “The Wedding March” is played to celebrate the engagement. The characters on the bra read, “now hunting for a husband.”
Aki Hoshino mistaken for minor at Macau casinoIn late February, a visitor in Macau hoping for luck at the casino noticed the incident. “Isn’t that Aki Hoshino? What are they raising a fuss about?” The man had spotted the woman who turned out to be Hoshino, arguing with some staff at the casino entrance.
“It was shortly after noon, at one of those casinos on the main street. She was obviously looking like a celebrity wearing a sexy, low-cut dress, and she was with someone who appeared to be her manager. All the other Japanese tourists with me recognized her. But for some reason, she was being denied entry into the casino. I think that’s what the argument was about.”
The man who saw the entire incident described how extremely frustrated she was. She even grabbed one of the Japanese tourists – probably because she thought that she was getting nowhere with the casino staff – and pleaded, “You know who I am, right? Can you please tell them?”
According to another tourist, “Because of the way she was dressed, it appeared that the casino staff decided she was a prostitute. We all thought that was the reason.”
While hookers have always been a common sight at Macau casinos, the authorities are now monitoring them more closely. So did the staff think Hoshino, 32, was a hooker?
Her agency explained that wasn’t the case. “She was mistaken for a minor because she looks younger than her age. She didn’t have her passport as she was on location… As far as we know, she wasn’t there to gamble but just needed to use the restroom in the casino.”
Perhaps that explains her desperation to get inside.

TOKYO — Model Nozomi Sasaki, 20, will regularly appear as “Euro Queen” in satellite broadcaster WOWOW’s new program “Discover! UEFA EURO 2008TM” on Saturday nights. Sasaki, who is popular among teenagers, will be appearing on nationwide TV for the first time.
She says, “To be honest, I’m not familiar with soccer but I’ll learn and enjoy it. She also said that she prefers “fascinating players rather than cool ones, such as Gattuso rather than Ronaldo.”

Actor Yuji Oda, 41, and actresses Yuki Amami, 41, and Erika Toda, 20, will star in the upcoming movie “Amalfi: Megami no Hoshuu,” directed by Hiroshi Nishitani, which commemorates Fuji TV’s 50th anniversary.
The film has fast become a hot topic as an unusually large-scale production, and the first Japanese film to be filmed completely in Italy. Oda, who plays a diplomat hot on the case of a Japanese woman who was kidnapped in Rome, was confident of his performance, beaming as he said of the shoot, “It’s definitely one extravagant experiment. At times like this, I feel really blessed to be an actor.”
On the same day, it was also announced that, for the first time in movie history, a prequel to the film called “Amalfi: Beginnings” will be distributed through NTT DoCoMo’s “DoCoMo Douga” video service starting June 5. Both the prequel, set in Macao, and the film provide a huge opportunity for Oda. The actor, who skyrocketed to fame with his first hit series “Odoru Daisousasen,” said of the role, “This is definitely a character with a lot of potential. I’m looking forward to a sequel.”
